Contacts
Why should I build a network of soccer contacts?
Here are just a few good reasons:
-
Extend your network of valuable soccer contacts and share career news, soccer results and opportunities.
-
Easily keep up-to-date with your friends:
-
See each other’s newest posts on your dashboard
-
Message each other directly
-
Capitalize on the knowledge and network of mutual contacts.
-
As you know, soccer is a small world. Networking is important. When a club, agent or coach is interested in your profile and doesn’t know you personally, it might be interesting for them to see which soccer friends you share, so they can ask for a second opinion.
-
The bigger your soccer network, the more trustworthy your profile is and the more opportunities for shared connections.
-
The company you keep reflects on you! People visiting your profile page can see who your friends are and which friends you have in common. This may be the key to interesting contacts and opportunities.
What's the difference between connecting with and following someone?
-
Approval needed to connect as a friend, not for following
When you connect ‘as a friend’, your invitation to connect will have to be approved by the member you want to connect with. For ‘following’, no approval is needed by the other member. He or she will not receive a message about the fact you’re following him or her.
-
Relationship is visible when connected as a friend, not for following
When you’re connected as a friend, the relationship will be visible for visitors on your profile. When you’re following someone, this is not visible. Premium accounts (players) can see who is following them and who might be interested in their profile.
-
Direct messaging is possible when connected as a friend, not when following
When you’re connected as a friend, you can click on the Send message button to send a direct message. This will open a dialog window to type your message. The message will appear in your friend’s e-mail inbox as a regular e-mail.
How do I connect with another Zamante member?
Click the Add as friend or Follow button on the profile of the Zamante member you want to connect with or on the small profile ID card.
How do I remove a contact?
You can remove a contact by clicking the Undo link on the member’s profile page or in the over-view on the Your contacts
page. The other member will not be informed about the fact that you unfriended him or her.
Why is a member suggested as friend on Zamante?
Zamante automatically spots members who’ve something in common with you - past or present club(s), friends, location or region, etc. We’ll continuously work on fine-tuning friend suggestions.
Can I decline an invitation?
Yes. If you decline an invitation the user who invited you will be blocked and can't invite you anymore as a friend. If you change your mind, you can connect with the blocked person by inviting him or her yourself.
Safety & security
What can I do when I have concerns about something I've seen on the site?
Let’s keep Zamante a safe and fun place! So if you come across something or someone on Zamante that is causing you concern, please let us know. You’ll find a link to a report abuse form on the footer of every profile page.
Clubs
I can select my actual club from a list. Which clubs are in the list and which are not?
We try to map the leagues and clubs the best we can for each country. For some countries, we have a complete list of all clubs and leagues down to the lowest level (Belgium and Netherlands). For others we have an almost complete list (France, Germany, Spain, USA,UK). Where information is incomplete, you can add a league, subdivision and club. The lists will be continually updated and extended.
Who can update club information?
Information on clubs added by Zamante members can be edited by club representatives. Change requests for clubs from the Zamante database can be sent to feedback@zamante.com. Transfer opportunities can only be managed and created by club representatives and coaches and will be published on both their own profile page and the club page.
Where can I edit club information if I’m not a Zamante member?
Editing club information is only allowed by Zamante members linked to the club as a club representative. This applies only to clubs added by Zamante members.
Another club representative in my club bought a premium account on Zamante. Can I use it too?
Yes. A premium account for a club can be used by max. 3 club representatives or coaches of that club for a year.
